Steps taken to foster enhanced output of scientific publications from India that include:-
- Scientific publications considered mandatory for promotion/ career advancement in Medical college hospitals.
- Proof of submission of a scientific publication by post graduates- as an eligibility criterion for appearing in the PG exams, as followed in several universities.
Objectives of the course:
- To enable the submission of a minimum of one manuscript the IMRaD format.
- To identify issues on ethics, copyright and plagiarism and ways to promulgate/ mitigate.
- To
help identify an appropriate journal
forwell within the scope of the chosen project for the purpose of submitting the manuscript. - To sensitise on the process of online submission of an article.
- To learn to respond to reviewers’ comments.
Expected Outcome:
At the end of the program, each participant would have completed the preparation of a manuscript within the scope of his/her respective project that could be made publication worthy.
