This course provides a comprehensive foundation in the principles and practices of Yoga and Yoga Therapy. It introduces students to the classical concepts of Yoga based on traditional yogic literature while integrating contemporary scientific evidence to develop an evidence-based understanding of Yoga Therapy. The course emphasizes the holistic functioning of the human body, including the interrelationship between various physiological systems and the therapeutic effects of yogic practices. Students will acquire theoretical knowledge and practical competence in performing and teaching a wide range of Yoga techniques with proper methodology, including their significance, benefits, contraindications, and step-by-step procedures. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to apply foundational yogic concepts in health promotion, disease prevention, and supportive therapeutic interventions while appreciating both the strengths and limitations of Yoga Therapy in modern healthcare.

Core Theory Paper 1- Music Therapy Fundamentals and Music Therapy Applications Part 1 provides in-depth knowledge to have an expressed understanding of

  1. Elements and genres of Music
  2. Ability to enumerate the history of Music Therapy in the Indian and the Global Context. 
  3.  Expressed understanding of the various models of Music Therapy.
  4. To be able to understand different methods and techniques of Music Therapy while expressing the significance, benefits, contraindications, and step-by-step procedure of each technique.
  5.  Ability to define Music Therapy

Need:

Steps taken to foster enhanced output of scientific publications from India that include:-

  • Scientific publications considered mandatory for promotion/ career advancement  in Medical college hospitals.
  • Proof of submission of a scientific publication by post graduates- as an eligibility criterion for appearing in the PG exams, as followed in several universities.

Objectives of the course:

  • To enable the submission of a minimum of one manuscript the IMRaD format.
  • To identify issues on ethics, copyright and plagiarism and ways to promulgate/ mitigate.
  • To help identify an appropriate journal for well within the scope of the chosen project for the purpose of submitting the manuscript.
  • To sensitise on  the process of online submission of an article.
  • To learn to respond to reviewers’ comments.
